How do I know I'll only be charged for repairs my car actually needs?
At our Beaconsfield auto repair shop, we provide an estimate before any work begins.

Will I get a price before any work starts on my vehicle?
Yes, always. Before we touch your car, before we start a job, you get an estimate. We always ask that you share the relevant details in advance, and if something unexpected comes up mid-repair, we do our best to accommodate it.

Is there a charge to diagnose the problem with my car?
A computerized vehicle scan diagnostic starts at $90. A general mechanical inspection checkup starts at $60. If you go ahead with the repair, the $60 inspection fee is applied toward your final invoice.

Do you offer used car pre-purchase inspections in the West Island?
Yes, by appointment or drop-off only. Plan to leave your vehicle for at least half a day. The fee is $60 for a 40-point general mechanical inspection. A road test is available separately for a bit extra if you'd like one, and the vehicle must be fully licensed for us to take it on the road.

Do you guarantee your auto repairs if something goes wrong later?
Parts are covered for 1 year and/or 20,000 km against defects unless otherwise stated. If a repair was done incorrectly on our end, we stand behind the work and fix it. We always try to flag any uncertainty in advance, especially on older vehicles with incomplete service histories.

What if I want a second opinion or decide to hold off on the repair?
Your vehicle can leave free of charge any time before it enters the bay. Once it's been inspected, the $60 checkup fee applies.

Do you work on my make and model?
We take on European, Asian, and American vehicles for general mechanical work at our Beaconsfield garage, up to the weight limit of our heaviest hoist; heavy-duty oversized diesel trucks are the one exception.

Do I need an appointment, or can I walk in?
An appointment is strongly recommended. Drop-offs are scheduled for a morning or afternoon window, so plan for at least half a day and sometimes a full day. Walk-ins are welcome and we accommodate them as best we can.
